Captain Fanplastic’s 5R’s
In this SDG module children learn about the importance of waste management and that they are responsible for what they consume and how it is disposed of. There is no such place as ‘away’ for plastic waste, so responsible waste management is encouraged. The content focuses on Captain Fanplastic’s 5Rs: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle. Pirates are called pirates because they RRRRR! Suitable for schools and learning at home.

About SDG 12
This module is linked to Sustainable Development Goal 12 and focuses on responsible consumption and production. By following this module children will be contributing to reducing waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse (12.5). Furthermore, it will raise literacy on waste management and promote lifestyles in harmony with nature (12.8). Other SDG’s linked to this module are SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 14 (Life below Water).
